Export web tables to Excel or CSV
Extract a web table in Chrome or Edge, rename columns, check row counts and export Excel or CSV locally.
Export a web table to Excel
RowGather reads supported tables from the page you are viewing. It is useful for product lists, research results and business reports you are authorized to access. A single table can be previewed and exported without creating an account.
1. Select the source table
Open the source page in Chrome or Chromium-based Edge 130 or later. Open RowGather from the extension toolbar and select Discover tables. Grant access to that website when prompted. If discovery misses a table, try the point-and-select tool. Browser settings pages, browser stores and cross-origin frames cannot be read this way.
Can I extract a list without column names?
Yes. Each detected record stays on its own row. Link directories keep text and URLs separately. When there is no explicit header, the first record is retained and temporary column names can be edited. For headerless CSV or TSV, uncheck “First row contains column names”.
2. Check and edit the preview
Compare the selected rows with the visible source. Rename or reorder columns, select the fields to keep, and correct cells where needed. Source values remain available in task backups and Excel edit records. Check leading zeros, long identifiers and merged cells before exporting.
3. Export and verify
Choose Excel for identifiers such as product codes: cells are saved as text by default. CSV and TSV include formula protections, but spreadsheet software can still reinterpret values when opening files. Open the export and compare representative rows with the source.
Multiple pages and virtual scrolling
Pro adds continuous pagination, load-more workflows, supported virtual scrolling, saved tasks and reusable site rules. Set row/page limits and inspect the next-page control first. Virtual scrolling needs stable record identifiers. The sidebar may be closed while web collection continues; keep the source tab and browser open. The free trial allows 3 pages/batches or 500 cumulative rows per task. Review any partial-completion warning. Matching row counts alone do not prove complete extraction.
What is outside the current scope?
Canvas-rendered tables, restricted pages and some complex layouts are unsupported. RowGather does not bypass sign-ins, access controls or site rules. Extraction and file processing run locally; account and license operations contact your RowGather server.
